The core portfolio artifact — a real, publishable Yocto layer.

  • Create layer skeleton: bitbake-layers create-layer meta-dashboard
  • layer.conf with correct BBPATH, BBFILES, and layer dependencies
  • Recipe dashboard_1.0.bb: fetch from local path or git, install to /opt/dashboard
  • Add layer to build, verify it parses cleanly with bitbake-layers show-layers
